Italian clergy: grazie di esistere...

They will always redound to the honor of their Church and nation.

Although this is impressive, a quartette of priests in traditional Roman cassocks, it would be all the more edifying if I knew that they were NOT Fraternity of St. Peter, or ICRSP priests.
That sounds crazy, except for the fact that we EXPECT the SSPX, FSSP and ICRSP priests to dress this way so it's no big thing to be thrilled.
But if tradition were catchin on among Roman priests...then that would be a big deal and something to shout from the rooftops about.

Sardinian priests under 50 invariably dress this way. Sardinia is deeply traditional in its cultural-religious ethos. Intelligent Sardinians are often shocked by the politically-correct practices they find among the clergy in the Capital of the Catholic World.
