Le caldarroste: holiday cheer in the air...
Average tourists go wild with joy when they see these nice castagne arrostite sul fuoco. But just make sure that when you order some you're getting the freshly cooked ones and not the ones that were cooked some hours before.

Is this pastry, like canolis, or shellfish, like oysters or clams.
I can't tell by the photo which it is. Both should be refrigerated, especially the shellfish!
Okay! Thanks. It looked like something else to me.
I like roasted chestnuts, especially filled with sweetened chestnut or almond paste. Sometimes, it's almost like custard.
