In the Roman Ritual there is a blessing of wine each 27th of December on the feast of St. John the Evangelist. Pastors, advertise for this blessing and let the faithful know to bring their wine.

Is this because of St. John's near-martyrdom by poisoned wine? I like the irony of having wine blessed on this day!

I have this image of people bringing wheelbarrows full of wine! I mean: Italy! It must take hours!
