Many have a special devotion to Mother Pascalina Lehnert (1894-1983) who died twenty-five years ago. She's buried in the Vatican, in the Campo Santo cemetery of the Teutonic College. Madre, please always pray for us!
I am pleased that you have remembered Mother Pascalina on her 25th Anniversary. I was one of the servers at her funeral Mass in the chapel of the Camposanto. Mother was particularly generous with her time for seminarians like me who wanted to hear her speak about Pius XII. About three months before her death, I spent a morning with her at Pastor Angelicus, the convent where she lived. Her gracious smile and her many wonderful stories of "il Santo Padre" made the time fly by. She loved the Sisters of "The Work" and often visited their "Piccola Casa" in Rome in her last years. Their devotion to Pius XII gave her great joy. -- They provided the choir for the funeral, if I remember correctly. -- I too will bring flowers to her tomb when I am in Rome next week.
Nice! The Austrian priests and sisters of the l'Opera have lent to the exhibition their Pius XII items from Madre Pascalina and it really adds to the collection - like his electric razor and cape!
Thank you for the photo of Mother Pascalina's grave. I have a well worn paperback copy of La Popessa that I have enjoyed reading many times. When next in Rome I will make it a point to visit her grave.

I believe there was a book written about her.

Wonderful to see this!
Also to hear the reminiscences from Father Horgan, thanks!
She must have stayed very clear to the end.
