What a veiled communion rail looks like...

As kids I can still remember mom telling us a few times that in the old days when one received Holy Communion they put their folded hands under a veil.
This photo was taken in Genova this past week. Most "traditionalist" Catholics (clerical or lay alike) don't seem to know that the communion rail is to be veiled. This is our custom. They also don't seem to know that when receiving Holy Communion kneeling one is to place their folded hands under this veil.
So many things left unsaid. Parents teach their kids. Thanks, mom!
