Just yesterday I had the pleasure to spend the day in Florence with ten priests, four sisters and several others. It was a great joy and just another fabulous day in Italy. Photos will soon be posted.
If you're into the Baroque then Rome is for you, but if you're into the Renaissace then Florence is where it's at. As we were art students from the Dominican University in Rome we got into four museums/churches for free. Magnificent art.
Three times this year I've been to Florence but it's just close to Rome and so it's just a place students living in Rome sometimes often visit. And it has so much more class than Rome: better shops, boutiques, food, restaurants, prices, locals, etc.
