Take a look at all these recent books - in Italian - written about Pius XII. Each was for sale at the conference. Know twentieth century European history and know it well.

I think if wonderful news and events about Pope Pius XII were not about to happen in the Vatican ( i.e. Benedict XVI signing the papers declaring Pius XII "Venerable Pope Pius XII", and possibly declaring a miracle attributed to him....no one would bother with such a magnificent series of ceremonies and seminars, lectures, and dozens of new books. If he was considered an infamous personality in the Vatican ( like he is with those Jews), none of this would happen.
