Donned the habit in 1938 and shines even today...

Meet Sr. Margherita Marchione as seen in Rome. She's an American born saint. Born in 1922, she was vested in her holy habit in 1938...and she still wears it to this day!
If she can inspire me, a guy in his twenties, then she can inspire all of our youthful Catholic women. See her, follow her!

She's a wonderful nun. An awesome example of holiness and faithfullness.

That's not the original Religious Teachers Filipini habit she's wearing, but the usuall "Vatican II" mod habit.

Still, better to wear some kind of habit (like the Fillipini nuns do), rather than none at all, like most of our USA Orders.

Sort of. The Fillipini Religious Teachers are neither nuns or an American Order. Was the Venerable Sister's habit changed during or after the pontificate of Pius XII and would he have approved? Why can not the various Orders petition to adopt their former habits when they never endangered their wearers? Modernism for modernism's sake? It is so sad to see a Sister who I suspect went along with these changes only for the sake of obedience. Actually her habit is considerably more conservative than that of her sisters.
