Cappella Papale: Papal Mass for Pius XII...

Why study in Rome? Where else does one have the opportunity to meet one of the Council Fathers?! This is the Maronite Patriarch, ordained bishop in 1961, he's one of the last living Fathers of Vatican Council II. A great honor to have reverenced his ring today in the Vatican Basilica. He asked: "Lei e' Italiano?" Born in 1920, he's almost ninety!

A monumental life of service to the Church, and also the Maronite Rite. Wonderful Bishop.

Having been one of the "Fathers" at Vatican II is no prize however. Perhaps it was once a mark of distinction, but more and more it is seen as a dubious item on one's resume.
