Good times with good friends...

The Swiss Guards are the nicest guys you'll ever meet. They're all youngsters - many are just nineteen and many are new to Rome.
When the Holy Father is away they are relaxed and only then are allowed to pose for photos with tourists (although sometimes just after papal events they can't say no to the smiling ladies who ask to pose with them!).

I want to see a Swiss Guard duke it out with one of those English guards at Buckingham Palace. Or maybe they could see which one could stand perfectly still the longest!

The Guard to your right is surely out of uniform. Isn't his collar undone?

It might be a Roman summers day, but how can he guard the Pope properly with his collar undone!!

It would neve rhave happened in the days of Pius XII!
