From Tuscany: autumn fun in picking olives...



This is how it's done! This is the time of the year, when in Lazio, the farmers and their hired hands harvest olives. The olives are picked by hand from the ancient trees and allowed to fall onto nets. Olives are not ready to eat, but are then treated in jars.
