One entire question in the Summa is dedicated to the subject of drunkenness (II II, q. 150). "Sober drinking," writes St. Thomas quoting Ecclesiasticus, "is health for the body and soul."

This remark reminds me that I wished to ask if you could report any further news, hopefully better news, about the well being of the beloved Carmelite Latinist. Perhaps a formal novena of sorts with the intercession of a blessed or venerable could be started. Earlier I and some other people began asking for the intercession of Cardinal Newman, but perhaps another blessed or venerable could be called upon.
