Even the beauty of their waters is commonplace!

Ritorna la dolce vita? Sun-baked even in the winter? Just west of Rome is the Tyrrhenian Sea! Here I am basking in the blinding winter sun...on the sea! Such a hiatus (adventure)! They have the most beautiful boats here! Anyone who has been to Venice has seen the lovely wood-paneled boats gleaming with lacquer (they look like the inside of an old Rolls-Royce)! To see the bristle of such craftsmanship intrigues me. So much for the phantom boats of old, this marvellous boat in the photos is all tinplated with enamel paint, but still bella! Just remember to bring the port wine!

Actually, Divine Providence has so blessed Italy with its waters. It is a nation with so much sea. Remember that Italy borders the Tyrrhenian, Ligurian, Adriatic, Ioanian and Mediterranean Seas! I sure do enjoy the beaches. But, they'll all tell you that the best are on the island of Sardegna!

Last year I took a ship across the Adriatic from Ancona, Italy, to Split, Croatia. Dolphins swam along the bow of the ship attempting with glee to race it! Then, I took a ship from Dubrovnik to Bari. On the ship were Italian cyclists who had biked from Italy all down the Dalmatian coastline to Dubrovnik. You must visit Catholic Croatia! Go all the way to Sarajevo as I did!
