Angelus Domini...

The fittingness of Rome...even in the winter rain! From this chosen and sublime city, every Sunday afternoon at twelve o'clock, the Pope greets all from his bedroom window on the top floor of the Palazzo Apostolico (Apostolic Palace). His Holiness leads all in the recitation of the prayer, the Angelus, in Latin (but, during the Easter season, instead, the Regina Coeli is prayed). For about fifteen minutes he remains praying with the cheering crowds while greeting all in several languages. Before taking his leave, he pronounces the Apostolic Benediction. In greeting his devotees, the Pope is oft reminded of what Christ charged to Peter: "Feed my sheep."
