Dawn in Rome!

Bathed in sunshine! The pale morning sunlight in Rome turning a reflective glare off the Roman travertine is the best! The dawn mists emerge dissipating around the trees and hills mark the beginnings of a brillant day! Imbued with its own charm, this hour of the day is my most favorite in Rome. The cappuccinos are frothing in each café as one enters each chilly church to pray. From the pew, one hears the roaring autos outside on the cobbles with the buzz of the vespa. Motes of dust can be seen in the shafts of the morning sunlight (baroque churches have clear glass windows)! From the sombre aisles, one glides outside into the warren of cobbled alleys and streets to observe the workshops, taverns, emporia of junk and all other shops and restaurants clustered along the way. But, this is Rome!
