Meet the Rex: Al Cardinal Ottaviani...

Some legends never die - this is one of them.
If you read Italian then get your hands on this fabulous read (inside are some very historical and rare pics).
After it all, he remains the last man standing.
Visit his tomb in the little chapel next to the Vatican City's Palace of the Holy Office.

Like Pius XII, Cardinal Ottaviani was a saint.

100% true. The new Mass is 100% a departure from Catholic tradition, and mostly of Protestant inspiration.
Considering that, no wonder the results of the "new Mass" have been what they have been over the last 40 years!

Epithets of odium hurled at this saint have been many. He just gave reprobation rightly to books of liberal spirit and now he is seen as the bad guy.

The Curia needs more like him: shrewd old men who can spot a liberal physiognomy at five-hundred yards and pluck 'em out!
