First Mass chalice of Pius X...

Yours truly freaked out when he had the honor to hold this hallowed chalice in his hands in the sacristy of the old village church in Riese (now Riese Pio X, near Padua/Venice). This is the same original chalice which was used by the future Pope St. Pius X during his First Solemn Mass in his home parish there in 1858. The chalice is today locked safe in a protected cabinet behind the altar and only brought out each year on the feast of Pius X.
CALICE DONATO DAL CARD. MONICO A RIESE E USATO DA DON GIUSEPPE SARTO NELLA PRIMA MESSA SOLENNE (Chalice donated by Cardinal Monico to Riese and used by Fr. Giuseppe Sarto during his first Solemn Mass).
To be washed by the same Precious Blood of Our Lord and Savior...and to drink from the same chalice of salvation!

What a joy! I'm especially delighted to see that you don't touch the chalice itself, as all the young servers are teached at the FSSP parishes.
