The window on the far left is a hallway.
The rest are of the papal apartment - closed because he's on holiday.
With the Pope out of town there's a different feeling. More relaxed, less stress.
And now the Swiss Guard will be more likely to pose for a picture with you when you ask.

I asked a Swiss Guard if I could take a photo of him a few years ago, and the answer was a resounding "NO!"
He didn't look like someone to argue with, so I didn't...
When the Pope is away on vacation (holiday) does the cleaning crew do some "spring cleaning"? Dusting away cobwebs, turning and airing out mattresses, etc?
