San Giovanni Rotondo: home of Padre Pio...

In Medjugorje the visioners and others took the money and ran for England, Canada or the next best thing, the United States.

In places like Lourdes and San Giovanni Rotondo, though, they took the money and built magnificent Catholic hospitals to care for the sick and dying which are still in operation today.

The hospital in the photo is beautiful with its marble floors and two chapels and persons from all over Italy come to it. It was the wish of Padre Pio and he even named it: The Home of the Relief of Suffering.

Though it saddens me to read of what has/is happening in Medjugorje, I appreciate your comment pointing out this disturbing fact regarding the financial situation of the "visionaries"
