Catholic womanhood: richness of elegancy...

As a fashion designer might gush: "Fastidiously tasteful!"
Such refined propriety expressing fastidious taste with such richness and refinement combined is something which can only be called Catholic and gorgeous.

I wear a veil to every Mass. I believe it is a beautiful symbol of humility, modesty, and purity for women, and I love wearing it. It represents the woman's willing subjection to man and goes back all the way to Genesis (Theology of the Body should also have a lot to do with this, I'm sure). I'm not exactly sure what Vatican II says about it with regards to whether or not it is required during the Novus Ordo Mass(I've heard conflicting views from different sources, so I'm going to check up on it myself), but I know that it says in 1Corinthians 11 that women must cover their heads during prayer. In vs.3 it says that God is the head of Christ, Christ the head of men, and men the head of women. And also, just as men are the glory of God, women are the glory of men, because woman was made for man not man for woman (vs.7-9) Basically, women, in complete humility and out of love for their men/husbands, must wear the veil during prayer, or the Mass. It isn't a chance for men to "dominate" and "subjugate" women out of their own masculine authority; but for women to gain their own genuine and feminine strength through the virtue of humility and to fulfill their role as man's "ezer kenegdo", which in Greek means helper, life saver, supporter (Gen 2:18). I felt the call to wear the veil, so I'm trying my best to be faithful to it at every Mass I attend. I also recommend to every woman who reads this to wear the veil at every Mass; Novus Ordo or not. Think of it, women, as an opportunity to fully express your truly rich and genuinely beautiful femininity; and to express the total, faithful, and fruitful love that you do or wish to someday express to your husbands in the future (whether that be Jesus or another man). It's our chance to become more of the woman we were called to be by our ultimate Creator and wonderful Designer; and less of the "power-house", business-lady that the world nowadays forces us to become. On eBay they sell from $1 to $20, if you're interested, so you can search for them there. Just Google "catholic veils" and the first link should get you there. God Bless and you'll be in my prayers!! :)
