Pray for the dead...

Please pray for the soul of this woman, my grandmother. She was born in 1922 and she died January 1, 2006 (one year ago). She was a mother of 12 children and 43 grandchildren and a convert who was received into the Church in 1945. May her life inspire those still living.

What an incredible woman! An example to be mimicked!

Will remember her at Mass tomorrow at 11am.

The bare recollection of this generosity in our time is a great accession of help. May she be imitated in piety.

Although my granny never mentioned it, I’m sure many moderns soght to chide her roughly (lambaste her) about her having “too many kids.”

Makes me laugh after living in the Europe of today and hearig the alarm in the papers about the shrinking and aging population and already crashing welfare liabilities (while no politician who wishes to remain electorally vialbe whould suggest an end to abortion?)!

Planned Parenthood and friends got it exactly backward: it’s not a question of “sustainable growth” but of substainable lack of growth (public pensions expenditures – now they want to reduce benefits for lack of work force).
