Where to study Italian in Rome: a good spot...

Persons coming to Rome sometimes write and ask for tips on a good place to study Italian in Rome. This is the place: http://www.dantealighieri-roma.it/index.htm.

Five years ago I studied Italian for a semester at the Dante Alighieri in Piazza Firenze in Rome's old Campo Marzio district and it was a terrific experience. I was the only guy in a class full of beautiful young blond girls from northern Europe (Eva and Agnes from Germany were nice as well as the Persian girl and the Russian, too: hi guys!).

U.S. Embassy employees and Pontifical University Students were offered a considerable discount at that time and lessons were offered in the morning as well as evening in a historic old palace in downtown Rome.

In addition, each month they offered a cheap and fun gita to places near Rome (i.e. Capri, Siena, Assisi, etc.).
