What a nice pectoral cross looks like...


This pectoral was worn by John XXIII as Patriarch of Venice. He was born in Sotto il Monte, near Bergamo/Milan. So, he always had a devotion to St. Ambrose, as to St. Mark. When he was elected Pope in 1958 he gave this pectoral to the Basilica of St. Ambrose in Milan where it is to this day.
