One of the five most beautiful human beings that I have ever met is without doubt this man. He's the 93 year old Austrian from Innsbruck who directs the choir at Rome's Russicum (across the street from St. Mary Major).
"Overawed" is how I've always felt when I visit the Russicum for Vespers or Divine Liturgy and one reason that I've never gone there every Sunday is because I get all choked up with the beauty of the music (and rites).
I asked him about his past and he chatted all about World War I and Bolzano and the Balkans and lots of cool stuff. May he be rewarded in this as well as in the next world for his charming, holy and angelic spirit!

what is the priest's name?
I heard that the Russicum has become a shadow of its old self as most of the priests who used to staff it are now serving (as Latin-rite priests) in Russia.
I honestly don't think there is one Latin rite priest living/workingin the Russian Federation who has ever lived at the Russicum.
The Russicum is a collegio so its an apartment complex where student priests and just a few seminarians live. Theres only a couple Russians living there and they are Orthodox while most are from Slovakia.
Sadly, its not for Russians or for mission prep.
The priest is Padre Ludwig Pilcher.
