Roma Festival Barocco: Sung Pontifical Mass...


The coolest thing are the gloves. The "moral touch!" I understand that in the postconciliar Pontificale gloves are still mentioned as optional.

Absolutely right !

Pontifical gloves, or chirotheccae, are, like the dalmatic worn under the chasuble, optional for bishops in the "novus ordo".
