He calls me "America" and I call him "Monsignore." He's a canon of the Cathedral of Milan and he is a beautiful soul.
In the 1950s he was ordained a subdeacon by Blessed Schuster. Then he was ordained a deacon and a priest by Archbishop Montini (the future Pope Paul VI).
As we chatted he shared that the soutane that he was wearing belonged to Montini. My reply was "Allora, then let's take a photo!"
