Franciscans of the Immacolata in Tarquinia...

Tarquinia is an old Etruscan town located in the rolling costal hills north of Rome near Viterbo. The town overlooks the Tyrrhenian Sea.
Located on the edge of Tarquinia is this vibrant and charming old parish of San Francesco (with its attached cloister and monastery staffed by the Franciscans of the Immacolata).
This magnificent church dates from the XIII-XIV centuries and it was here that the annual ordinations of the Francescani dell'Immacolata were held this year, albeit now according to the Extraordinary Form of the Roman Missal.
It was a splendid celebration, three hours long with five ordinandi, and hope everybody can link to their site and support them as always. Many thanks to the Franciscans for their kind hospitality shown to all of us today during this unforgettable celebration!
