Yes it is. St. Charles left Collegio Papio on October 31st 1584 and was ill and his assistants forgot to take his biretta. In Italian the term biretta means a small beer. They use the term "beretta" for a clerical hat. don Jeffry

Is that a cardinal's biretta in the up-left corner of the picture? Is that St. Charles' biretta?
