Such beauty used to be uniformly observed in St. Peter's Basilica maintained by the canons until the 1970s.

Now this is a chasuble stamped with the sanction "Romana" the way it ought to be.

Premising the rites should always be decorative vestments (strikingly illustrative of the virtue and efficacy of the Sacrament) as in Mosaic worship.
