but the new hats are not quite as nice underneath and no longer carry the arms of the reigning pontiff. Until recently (and perhaps even now, in some places and in some sizes) one could/can still find ones like this, with John XXIII's arms.

Yes, the cappello romano looks great and is weather friendly. It's also now very chic and attractive, but above all practical and resilient. But where can you purchase one in Rome?
