Nice to see that processions like this are still held. But in my childhood in the 1950ies in Naples there were crush of people in effect masses on the streets at such occasions.
People don't go to these anymore because the vertical relationship to God has, to some extent, been abandoned in favor of a horizontal relationship to man.
