Thank God for the Catholic League. They do a great job, in the States and beyond.
Today worldwide there is no other religion more begrimed with soot and
lampooned than the catholic one.
Turn the other cheek... The Catholic League is seen as a laughing stock by far too many by being way too sensitive. They're a boy crying wolf far too often.

L'Osservatore Romano ran a review and an editorial in Wednesday's edition, critiquing the movie based on the Dan Brown best-selling novel of the same name.
"Angels & Demons" had its world premiere Monday in Rome, after director Ron Howard charged that the Vatican interfered with getting film permits to shoot scenes in the city — a contention the Vatican said was a publicity stunt.
The newspaper wrote that the movie was "a gigantic and smart commercial operation" filled with "stereotyped characters." The paper suggested moviegoers could make a game out of finding the many historical inaccuracies in the plot.
However, L'Osservatore praised Howard's "dynamic direction" and the "magnificent" reconstruction of locations like St. Peter's Basilica and the Sistine Chapel. Much of the film was shot on sets that painstakingly recreated church landmarks.
The film offers "more than two hours of harmless entertainment, which hardly affects the genius and mystery of Christianity," L'Osservatore's reviewer wrote. It's "a videogame that first of all sparks curiosity and is also, maybe, a bit of fun."
Mr. Schlesinger is right.
And the bigotry and bias is perpetuated by the corruption of USA society as epitomized by the values of Hollywood.
It is true that the secularistic, hedonistic culture of the USA and Hollywood is supremely anti-Catholic, because the Catholic Church is totally opposite, but it is the engrained bigotry of the USA itself, most expressed by the steriotypical red-necked bible-thumper.
That the USA Bishops, or the USA ordinary Catholics think that we have true allies in the evangelical "Christians" because they are anti-abortion like Catholics and supposedly have "christian values", is an enormous mistake.
These evangelical "christians" are the worst examples of Christian, and they themselves spread the disease of anti-Catholicism.
Ron Howard, who is the director of "Angels and Demons", comes from a fundamentalist "christian" family and anti-Catholic backround although he himself is not personally observant.
Americanism in and of itself (as epitomized by Sarah Palin, Rush Limbaugh, Rev. John Hagee, etc.) is 100% anti-Catholic. The average "Vatican II" Catholic is not aware of this. But raditional Catholics should be.
And USA Bishops should not be so naive or blind as to consider them "good christians" and as friends just because they are also pro-life.
Pope Benedict XVI himself appointed the men management of L'Osservatore Romano, a group of people who have shockingly denegrated that respected paper as the voice of the Vatican in less than 3 years, and have made it increasingly a voice of "liberal" or at least "politically correct" Catholicism.
So much for Benedict XVI being labeled a "conservative".
the novel is a joke , you can bet that in the film all the clerics wear full pre vatican ii cassocks etc.., and that if at anytime they wear sacred vestments they will be back to front or dont match or the stole will be outside or their wearing a cotta instead of an alb
