Mare Nostrum (Our Sea)...

Guess it was just another fabulous day in Italy...

Five hours under the Mediterranean sun...
while on a fantastic Tyrrhenian beach...
covered in sea salt (il sale delle saline italiane)...
while reading Hilaire Belloc...
and surrounded by lovely Catholic women who all love Belloc...
with playing catch with a football with a cool guy named Reggie we just met...
while then going home to bbq ribs (costina di suino) on the balcony...
with some great vino "da tutto pasto" (frizzante)....
while ending it all with a quiet walk on the beach at dusk...
with an old pipe from Asia Minor...
and some nice toasted cavendish tobacco from the New World...
and all the while in prayer...
may the Father of Mercies be praised!
