My favorite ristorante in Rome...

Everybody has their favorite place to dine in Rome. For those who have no taste, there is the Borgo Pio. For those with expensive taste, there's the Ristoratne Alfredo at the tomb of Augustus.
This great ristorante is where famous personages used to go in the 1950s and '60s. Today, just old people go there (and me) but it's a great 1940s dining experience and I recommend it to everyone!

My wife and I like to take a stroll and eat on the Borgo Pio as they are friendly there but the food is poor 'tourist' quality.

Shall be in Rome late December/early January. Is it really as good as you suggest?

Will also be at the Holy Father's vespers on 31 December and Mass on 1 January. Any tips?
