Feast of St. Nicholas in Rome...

"As children we all waited for Saint Nicholas to bring us presents. The communists wanted to deprive him of his sanctity, so they invented Grandfather Frost. Unfortunately, in the West, Nicholas has now become popular in the context of consumerism."
-Rise, Let Us Be On Our Way by Pope John Paul II

Thank you to the Holy Father for saying this with guts. We homeschool and teach our children that there is no such thing as Santa Claus.

A traddy-wanna-be mass. All the fru-fru but no sustance. Why is the mass-deacon wearing a maniple? That is not prescribed in the New Rite. With the Motu proprio, they should either do new new or old old.
