A lot died with the sixties. This is what the inside of a cappello Romano (Roman flat hat) used to look like. One could always date the hat by seeing the arms of the reigning pontiff in the inside. The next time you see Signor Gammarelli tell him you want his hat maker to spend a little extra and go back to printing the arms of the Pope on the inside...

"Cappello romano", with two p, not "capello romano". The word "capello" means "hair" in italian.
