Sometimes people ask how this all came about.
In the spring of 2004 I had no idea what a blog was until the talented Matthew Alderman told me he had a blog and wrote me the address on a Rome street on a little tear of paper. That was the first blog I ever saw (http://holywhapping.blogspot.com/).
In the autumn of 2005 the great Father Z initiated his blog which proved to be world famous and it brought many of us great joy to know that for posterity sake his great thoughts would be shared with the world in Internet pages (http://wdtprs.com/blog/).
Then in the spring of 2006 the wonderful and very special Mary Gibson told me she had a blog and told me it was easy, free and that I should have one, too. That blog really inspired me and made this blog what it is: a photo blog (http://roamingroman.blogspot.com/).
This blog (a.k.a. der spawn) was born in May of 2006. For one calendar year now daily posts have been made.
The purpose of this blog has been simply to inspire Catholic youth to study the sacred science in the Eternal City. Grant us more teachers, Father!
The new title bar?
Hope everybody likes it! The purpose is not to promote myself, but an attempt to inspire youth.
Many thanks to the much loved Don Moore (future chaplain of the Pontifical Swiss Guard!) for having brought me up to the roof of that convent and to the great Shawn Tribe, Catholic journalist and liturgical scholar of NLM fame, who designed and made the new title bar free of charge ( http://www.newliturgicalmovement.org/).
Many thanks, guys!
