Where to get nice traditional vestments in Rome...

There are still a few hidden vestment makers in Rome that can still make some really nice stuff. A lot of it is special order and a lot of it is made in other towns. And yes, today it's all computer made, but some of it is still nice stuff.

Try these guys and gift your pastor with a complete set:

Mar Statue Sacre
Borgo Vittorio, 61 (near Vatican)

The website doesn't have the nice traditional vestments in plain sight. I didn't dig too deep though.

Today it's special order. You have to go in and say what you want, then pay, then they will then mail you the finished product.

That place is also great for statuary, altar vessels, and Priests' Hosts for Mass with great designs embossed on them. They also carry low gluten hosts for people with Celiac disease.

Holy Order Liturgical Threads, in Rogers, AR, makes beautiful vestments! They have many in stock, all made in their shop by hand. Special orders are their specialty. They do copes, chasubles, stoles, burses, veils, anything you need, they will do. Also restoration of vintage liturgical garments.
It might not be Rome, but the quality will knock your socks off.

My parish priest, Fr. Hung Pham, here at St. Anthony's in Wichita, Ks. had a chalice made in Rome. "Mancinela" is stamped on the chalice, they sent the wrong paten, the bulge on the bottom is to big and it doesn't sit flat. He has no number or way to contact them, a fellow priest studying in Rome at the time took care of those details. Would you know who sales that brand in Rome and/or way to contact someone? Thank you, Tony
