It's a procession before Mass outside the church. The kid studies in Rome. Nice, but a control freak...

These are actually monks/friars of some type, aren't they? Maybe a new Order?
If they are, that's impressive.
But if they're just laymen playing "dress-up" for a ceremony, they it's a let down.
I thought they were monks because it looks like a habit (except for the man carrying the cross.
They are canons regular. Seminarians from S. Francesca Romana in the Foro Romano.
He is studying canon law at the Lateran..before I knew him here at Sant'Anselmo. What a character!
Sorry, but these are benedictines, of Mount Uliveto (Toscana). The founder was canonized on April 26th by the Holy Father.
