Catholic Mass in Westminster Abbey...

Here we can see the now Anglican (but once and still Catholic) altar dressed for Holy Mass. Immediatly behind and elevated is the tomb of Edward the Confessor (the man who actually first built the Abbey).

Summorum Pontificum really is having an effect.

God bless Pope Benedict.

I agree with Fra' Lawrence. But is the altar still the original pre-Reformation Catholic one?

It's in one of the older parts of the Abbey church. I have a hunch when the place was taken over (stolen) five-hundred years ago, it wasen't exactly sacked. I figured a big rock altar would stay for ages. The English are a practical people.
