Dear Mr. Sonnen, I found your blog via your reference to the Christmas Eve Mass (Tridentine Rite noless!!) at Santa Maria della Pace. I think the link was from Amy Welborn. I have since been reading your blog regularly and forwarded the link to my daughter in college too. Thank you for sharing your journey. My 13 yr old son and I will be in Roma for 2 weeks in June to take a language immersion class and visit a friend who is a priest at the Vatican. Would it be possible for us to meet you? You are such a marvelous example to young folks like my son. In His time, Debbie
debbie. thanks for the note. sadly, i'll be out of rome in june, but i'll pray god's blessings upon your son during his stay in rome.
the best thing for your son is some strong catholic culture - as a family attend mass every sunday in the tridentine rite. this is your best chance to keep the kid interested in anything catholic in this brave new world. all the best!
I'm a graduate student and tour operator living in Rome, Italy. Life is good. Studium Urbis! P.S. To know history is to be Catholic. P.P.S. Schedule your tour with us while in Rome.
