Warriors of the past: inspire us...


The good thing about being a papal knight is that you don't have to pay dues (once in Bethlehem I met a Knight of Malta who told me that his annual dues are $25,000). Anyways, it sure would be nice to have this carved on anybody's gravestone!

Yep, if your forte is money and you give to your bishop you get the picturesque tomb and the fancy title.

yes, the due process is that the ordinary of a diocese petitions the holy see for the nomination of one of the faithful of his diocese for the honor. I remember not too many years ago when Richard Schulze, founder of Best Buy Co. went to Rome with his ordinary, Harry Flynn, to receive the honor (he had give the localCatholicuniveristy many millions).
