"Get a copy of Alban Butler's Lives of the Saints"
But how? There are something like fifty different books calling themselves Butler's Lives of the Saints on Amazon, and I've heard tell that the most comprehensive versions available (because who needs another book with only 50 saints in it?) aren't very good. Which version of this work is the one to get, with the best combination of readability, reverence, and modern saints? (With Summum Pontificorum I don't care if it lists the old feast days.)
