I am confused by these sisters status. They are not in communion with the Church? They do not believe in the teaching authority of the past two Pope? If they are changed their mind why not return to Mount Saint Michael.
It's an interesting story. I only wish I knew more.
These sisters left the Mount because they desired to be in communion with Rome and the Sisters on the Mount are not. I wonder how many people who go to hear the Singing Nuns know they are not in obedience to Rome! One of my former students is a member of this new community. I am very proud of their courage to move forward in faith. If you want to learn more watch Life on the Rock this Thursday on EWTN.
I checked their website. It looks to me like they gave up the Tridentine Latin Mass, just to be in union with Rome....and have not continued the TLM in their new community. What a tragedy. To give up the Tridentine Latin Mass and the riches of Catholic tradition for the wreckage of Vatican II and the Novus Ordo? I wouldn't switch.
The Sisters DO have the TLM at their convent and also at a local parish where they serve as teachers. Also, the Sisters do strive to attend conservative NOM's when they cannot attend a TLM.
