I hope the Pope uses vestments made in the Borromean style soon (I don't think it's outside the realm of possibility). Although I guess the chasuble he wore on Ash Wednesday was fairly similar...
Did you happen to see the vestment preserved there belonging to the great martyr, St Thomas BECKET?! I would be EXTREMELY interested to see what it looks like!
Does Monsignor Marini know about these vestments? I would love to see the Holy Father in one of these Borromean chasubles! They should be worn, and could probably even be worn with the new "Papal" pallium.
Just want to say Thank you for taking time to take, and post these lovely pictures (not just this post, but all of them).
ReplyDeleteThank you! Great pics! When will they be taken out of the museum and put into use?!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to your report of the Constantinian Mass with Cardinal Castrillon.
ReplyDeleteHuzzah! St. Charles Borromeo's vestments!!

ReplyDeleteMany thanks for this but these vestments and altar cards shouldn't necessarily be in a viewing cupboard - they should be used!
