Meet the greatest scholastic that the Church has ever produced, the Italian, Saint Thomas Aquinas! There exists a nice biography on him entitled St. Thomas Aquinas, by G.K. Chesterton. It was written in a.D. 1933. In this book, Chesterton wrote: "It would be futile to make a sketch of St. Thomas and conceal the fact that he fought with heretics..."
