My understanding is that flowers are not allowed on the altar. Sorry, I don't have the legislation in front of me right now. Flowers, however, are allowed around or near the altar or on the shelf behind the altar.
I fuess they are trying to give it the "island feel"..A return to some traditional trappings I think would be greatly appreciated by the lay people..At this time, the plexi should be removed...The Holy Father is returning us to our roots and senses and the Isle of Capri should join us..
Well at least its easy to move.
