Pretty cool. Having never been to Rome, is graffiti really that common as seen in the 1st pic?
Anon 2, in a word, yes.As a boy, I can remember when the streets of Rome were filled with processions, etc. (though never, I think, quite like the scenes in Malta and Gozo).There was once a custom of putting a lighted candle in the window, as a priest passed by, carrying the Sanctissimum.I mention this not out of nostalgia, but as a reminder of what has been lost.
